We have explained several times that to use AIONCLOUD's SSE platform, you need to install an agent called AIConnector on your device.
After installing the agent and authenticating, all network traffic is encrypted and tunneled through the SSE platform
to access not only regular websites but also public clouds such as SaaS or AWS.
But what if you want to access internal application servers located in remote data centers,
such as HR systems, groupware, etc. with private IPs, as shown in the figure below?
The easiest way is to download and install the AIConnector for the Server version available on the dashboard,
which is available for Linux and Windows servers, the most popular OSes, as shown below.
'AIConnector for Server' is a lightweight agent that establishes a tunnel with SSE Edge, so you can rest assured that it won't overload your server or cause any other side effects.
Once installed, a private and secure 1:1 tunnel is established between the user's device and the SSE Platform Edge,
and between the SSE Platform Edge and the server, with all transmissions encrypted and accessible only to users you have specifically authorized.
However, there may be cases where you have a large number of servers, OS compatibility issues, or difficulty installing something on the server.
For these situations, MONITORAPP offers a separate gateway solution.
In other words, if you install the above gateway solution in an environment with dozens or hundreds of different servers in your data center,
the gateway solution will establish a tunnel with the SSE platform edge instead of the SSE platform edge,
and it will handle routing (traffic forwarding) between the user and the server.
Of course, the SSE platform will only allow access to users who are authorized by the firewall policy defined on the appliance and will block access by default.
The solution will be provided in a virtual machine (VM) format, which will allow customers to easily install it on their existing appliances and will be adaptable to cloud environments in the future.
